Integration documentation

This page explains how to add, use, and remove connected apps in Dossierly. Zoom is documented in full below — it is the meeting-link app listed on the Zoom Marketplace.

Zoom

Dossierly can create a Zoom Meeting for each confirmed public booking and put the join link on the confirmation screen, emails, and the link clients use to change or cancel the appointment. Zoom is the meeting tool. A calendar (Google Calendar or Outlook) is still what blocks busy times.

Adding the app

Each staff member connects their own Zoom account.

  1. Sign in to Dossierly.
  2. Open Settings, then Calendar.
  3. Under Meetings, select Connect Zoom.
  4. Sign in to Zoom and allow the requested permissions (create, update, and delete meetings, and read your Zoom user profile).
  5. You return to Calendar settings. Zoom is connected and selected for booking join links.

Prerequisites

A Dossierly staff account in a firm workspace, and a Zoom account that can host meetings. If your Zoom admin restricts Marketplace apps, they must allow Dossierly.

If connecting fails, see troubleshooting.

Usage

The Zoom app does one job: meeting join links on bookings.

Meeting links on bookings

When a client books a consultation on your public booking page, Dossierly creates a Zoom Meeting on the connected account (title and start/end time) and stores the join URL on the booking. Clients open that link from the confirmation, email, or manage-booking page. If the booking is rescheduled, Dossierly updates the Zoom Meeting. If the booking is cancelled or deleted while Zoom is still connected, Dossierly tries to delete that meeting.

Prerequisites

Zoom connected and in use under Settings → Account → Meetings. Public booking turned on for that staff member. A calendar connected (Google Calendar or Outlook) so available slots can be offered — Zoom does not sync your calendar busy times.

Removing the app

You can disconnect Dossierly from Zoom in either product. Do both if you want access fully revoked and tokens deleted on our side.

Disconnect in Dossierly

  1. Sign in to Dossierly.
  2. Open Settings, then Calendar.
  3. Under Meetings, on Zoom, select Disconnect.

That deletes your Zoom connection and encrypted OAuth tokens from Dossierly. New bookings will not get a Zoom link. Dossierly will not create, update, or delete meetings on your Zoom account after that.

Remove the app in Zoom

  1. Sign in to Zoom.
  2. Open the Zoom App Marketplace, then Manage → Installed Apps, or go to marketplace.zoom.us/user/installed.
  3. Find Dossierly and remove it.

What de-authorization means

Removing the app in Zoom revokes Dossierly’s access to your Zoom account. We can no longer create, update, or delete meetings. Existing Zoom meetings already created stay on your Zoom account until you delete them in Zoom. Booking records in Dossierly (including a stored join URL) stay with the firm’s file under our Privacy Policy — disconnecting Zoom does not erase client bookings. Join links already sent to clients keep working on Zoom until those meetings are deleted there. After you remove the app in Zoom, also select Disconnect in Dossierly Settings → Account so we delete stored tokens immediately. Copies of meetings on Zoom, emails already sent, and backups can outlive the disconnect until those copies expire.

Troubleshooting

Access was not granted: connect again and approve every permission Zoom shows. Reconnect required, or the connection failed: select Disconnect, then Connect Zoom again. Zoom did not return a refresh token: revoke Dossierly in your Zoom Installed Apps list, then connect again from Dossierly. Bookings have no Zoom link: confirm Zoom shows as in use under Meetings, public booking is on, and a calendar is connected.

Other integrations

Google Calendar, Google Meet, Outlook, and Teams are connected from the same Settings → Account screen. Calendar tools sync busy times and write the appointment; meeting tools supply the join link. You may use Zoom with Google Calendar or Outlook.
